Ecology Project International seeks a Outreach Assistant who will work with the Costa Rica Program Manager to implement and refine EPI’s outreach, community involvement and awareness strategies. Responsibilities involve planning, implementation, and evaluation of outreach activities and events that promote EPI local programs, community engagement and awareness and promotion of additional experiences and opportunities for EPI alumni. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will excel as a member of a fast-paced team with multiple projects, activities, and deadlines that require the ability to juggle competing priorities. S/he will be very detail oriented and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Required: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in communication or related fields, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, an outgoing/high energy personality; and 1-2 years experience with Microsoft office standard applications, including Access, Excel, Word, and a graphic design program. Additionally, candidates should have prior experience in education and leadership, especially with young adults, experience in coordinating outreach activities and events; persuasive speaking skills; and have a good sense of humor and a desire to make a difference in conservation and education. This position demands a high degree of organization, requires a high level of persistence, and an ability to work independently.

Schedule:The Recruitment Coordinator will work full time in our Costa Rica office with frequent visits to schools, businesses, organizations and program partners throughout Costa Rica.

Compensation: Depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package that includes paid time off, sick leave, holidays, professional development and all social security and taxes according to costarican regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Outreach Assistant may supervise interns and volunteers for specific projects.
